  • Victoria Inn 3550 Victoria Avenue Brandon, MB, R7B 2R4 Canada (map)

Discover the future of sustainable agriculture at the Organic Grain Hub Trade Show. This event brings together industry leaders, farmers, buyers, and advocates to showcase the latest in organic farming. Whether you’re looking to network or explore new market trends, this trade show is the place to connect with Canada’s thriving organic community.

Our trade show is scheduled just one day after the MFGA Regenerative Ag Conference. We encourage attendance at the MFGA Conference.

The Manitoba Organics Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be taking place simultaneously to the trade show, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.

Gary's presentation will be approximately two hours, and will be followed by a 30-minute Q&A Session. View the schedule to see timings.

Seeds that Fit the Farm: Integrating Farmer Innovation into Seed Systems
Seed isn't just the beginning of your next harvest, it's an essential tool on any organic farm - giving you an edge when conditions are tough, the weather is chaotic, and you can't fall back on chemical inputs to quickly solve an issue mid-season. Yet, organic variety development lags far behind mainstream plant breeding. Join the Bauta Family Initiative on Canadian Seed Security to explore why that is, and what we can do about it. See how farmers are breeding and adapting seeds to fit their farms, learn how the seed regulations influence organic variety development, and find out about new seed policies that could encourage farmer innovation and support seed diversity for all kinds of farms.

Farmer Panel featuring Glenn Elliott, Scott Beaton, & Ian Cushon
Hear directly from experienced organic farmers as they share stories, strategies, and lessons from their farms. This panel will highlight diverse perspectives on organic practices, market challenges, innovations, and the future of farming sustainably in Canada. A great opportunity to ask questions and engage in real-world dialogue. Hosted by Brent VanKoughnet, the project lead for net positive network out of ACC.
