Urban Moth Night

  • Touch Grass Club 9330 Groat Road Northwest Edmonton, Alberta, T6G 2T5 Canada (map)

🪲Don’t be scared of the bugs that come out at night! Some of them are dazzling and others are doing vital work for our ecosystem!

✨Celebrate national moth week with guided mothing by the @ablepguild - we will explore the river valley and all the life that comes out at night. Experts will guide participants on bug ID while we enjoy hot chocolate, the stars, and a fire in the heart of our city.

🤞Fingers crossed participants will find Sphinx Moth & Dogbane Beetles.

Download iNaturalist and help conservationists understand what species call Hawrelack Park home - prizes will be awarded to those who make the highest number of iNaturalist posts during this event & anyone who finds a Spyinx Moth or Dogbane Beetle!

Remember to pack a light jacket, a mug for tea / coffee, bugspray and anything you might need to be comfortable!
