Manitoba Organics is excited to invite you to a special tour showcasing some of the cutting-edge agricultural research happening at this site. During this event, you'll get an inside look at:
Organic Science Cluster 4 (OSC4) Experiments: Discover the latest developments in our OSC4 experiments.
Perennial Grain Research: Explore ongoing work with perennial grains, a promising area of research that aims to create more resilient, long-term crops that benefit both farmers and the environment.
BACKGROUND - Innovative phosphorus inputs will boost productivity on organic farms.
"Dr. Joanne Thiessen Martens and Dr. Henry Wilson, along with their team, are exploring the potential for utilizing recycled phosphorus inputs, including compost and commercially available struvite fertilizer, for organic field crop production in the Canadian Prairies. Finding safe and effective sources of phosphorus for organic field crops will add to the productivity and long-term resilience of the sector."
