Join NGM for a day of food, farms, and fun to cap off your summer!

NGM is planning a farm and food tour day on Monday, Sept 1 @ 11am-3.30pm MST. Read on to learn about the two tours we have planned!

🍯 Our first stop is @oldstationmeadery in New Sarepta, AB. The mead-maker lives less than a kilometre from the meadery, where he and his wife have a greenhouse and berry orchard, and where they began beekeeping ten years ago. The couple combined their love of berries and honey into the hobby of mead-making. We will have a chance to tour the meadery, taste some delicious samples, and hear their inspiring story of local honey over a slice of pie. You're sure to go home with a jar of sweet honey and bubbly mead!

🐓 Our second stop is @sunworks_farm near Armena, AB. Sunworks is hosting their Annual Family Farm Day, and we want to join! You'll have the chance to meet the farmers and animals, while learning about organic agriculture during their informative tour. You'll have the chance to browse their products at the end, so you can take homes some locally-produced organic meat and eggs!

Tickets are FREE! But REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED as we need participant numbers ahead of time for both tours. Please register by Thurs Aug. 28 @ 11pm MST to secure your spot.

Note: You are required to secure your own transportation to, from, and between the tour locations. Both locations are ~30-1h drive outside of Edmonton city limits, so public transport options are not available. If you would like to explore carpool options, we will do our best to match you with a driver! Please reach out to jomary@newgrocerymovement.com if you are looking for or offering carpool spots.
