Financial Literacy for Organic Grain Operations

  • Manitoba Organics Zoom Canada (map)

About the event

Jacques Gross, Manitoba Organics' newest Member of the Board of Directors, will lead a practical refresher on financial literacy resources available to organic grain operations.

In this 45-minute Zoom presentation, Jacques will walk through where to find tools and information to help you strengthen your farm’s financial decision-making, including:

  • Understanding your cost of production per acre and how to use it to better manage your operation

  • Exploring crop insurance options for organic grain producers

  • Preparing for loan applications and business growth opportunities

  • Succession planning and income tax considerations

  • And more...

Jacques will also draw on firsthand insights from organic grain farmers. A panel of experienced producers will join the conversation to tackle tough questions around bookkeeping and farm finances. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions during a live Q&A at the end of the session.
